FSTUC is the student racing team of the Technical University of Crete (and the first team of a university institution in Crete) founded in October 2020 by the students Sergios Stergiou and Pavlos Marakis. Under the adverse conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the team was gradually established and organized remotely, with its first recruitment taking place on the 25th of November that same year.
2021-2022
Upon returning to normality, the next two years were spent designing and simulating the single seater, securing funding through sponsorships, and establishing the team's presence and networking.
2023
By January 2023 the team qualified for participation in 6 Formula Student competitions. After an intensive period of preparation, in July 2023 in less than three years since its foundation, FSTUC raced for the first time, in the FSAE Italy 2023 competition, presenting its prototype vehicle. After a successful racing season and having gained a wealth of experience and knowledge, a new academic year begins with FSTUC more dynamic than ever.
